On The Town with Tanya financial literacy- what every foster needs to know
hello fam!
its your big sis Tan, its been a while! life is flying by and i am enjoying it like you should be! At all cost protect YOUR happiness, your LIGHT, and the love you have left to give, (yes, we still have it..we made it!!!)
Be grateful every day! Try to say something kind or atleast smile at one person a day and...plan for the future, you have to see yourself in it to be a part of it!!! If you made it this far, no matter what happened in our home or foster care experience, you are a winner!!!!!! Thank your ancestors each day you wake and God (if you don't beleive thats ok, the universe...as long as you know there is something greater, bigger than any human)..
I am sharing this because foster parents, agencys, foster youth in college, you need to have a financial goal and plan!!! Learn about investing, learn about having your own business OR getting your PHD or Masters so that you can be CEO, partner ... many avenues to go and IF you want to be an assisteant, (smile, hugs), that is just as good!!!! As long as your are the best at what you do and do it with pride, love and honor!

It takes time to learn this, learn NOW!!! parents should be teaching this as early as 5 but its never too late. Some things i am JUST listening to because as a foster and then when i aged out i was too consumed with my past abuse 9-15 to focus on anything but living each day...i made it out and so can you. and my midlife will be matching my $ to my talent and gifts, its NEVER too late!!
I love all of my foster youth and foster adults and anyone who has no family OR a non functioning family...you are loved, be loving be kind be intentional!!!
